Your Perfect Dining Table

Every home, small or large should have a Dining Table that stands out. Its were family’s get together at the end of a long day, have gatherings, maybe even family game night, either way it’s where lots of memories are made.

If you have a big family and the space, you might go for a big show piece to have in the center of your Dining Room, if your tight on space we can also build removable Leafs for when you need the extra room. Don’t have room for a normal sized table that’s fine to we can come up with beautiful looks to sit against a wall or even folds to keep the floor open when not in use.

Every family is very different and so should there Decore. We build the designs to be as unique as you are, maybe a simple elegant table soot’s you while others it may get more enjoyment from a unique set of legs with intricate visible wood joints. Maybe its going in a cabin and should keep the wild look with a live edge top and thick timber frame.

Some Ideas to Consider

  • How do you want your table to look, how does the rest of the room look. When you work with us, we like to go above and beyond any style limitations to make it truly unique to you. Some ideas are a very elegant dark oak table with refined molding along the apron going into hand turned legs, how about a slick modern design mixing in stone and metal along a big center base, or rustic reclaimed lumber looking like it still has a bit of the original barn paint attached, maybe the table has intricate molding to resemble some of your antique picture frames. The sky’s the limit with our designs.

  • When picking your wood, it’s important to understand the qualities of each. We will let you know as were designing it but some wood has a more muted reserved grain while some have more pronounced grains and knots that might not always fit the vision you had planned. Some wood we love for Dining Tables are

    • cherry - very beautiful red coloring with not too much of a grain. As it ages it turns into a very dark red/brown you see in many antiques.

    • Walnut - A beautiful dark brown wood with some lighter tans mixed in some boards, great for accents in the design or even the whole desk however can come with a hefty price compared to the other standard woods.

    • White Oak - very good, refined look usually in a lighter brown tone. The grain is typically found very straight in most boards but can be cut to have a very unique pattern. Great middle ground on cost.

    • Maple - A very light tan color with typically very faint grain, however there’s types of maple that can make the grain one of the most beautiful options out there.

    • A live Edge Slab - Can come in many different wood types and brings a little bit of nature into your home.

  • Seating can be hard when your limited on space but generally a good rule is about 24” per person and 2 to 3 feet away from each wall to give ample room to move chairs. Sometimes you just don’t have the room for a standard table in that case we can make unique shapes that fit your room to try making sure everyone has a place at the dinner table.
