Desk build update
After a full day of processing the beautiful 4/4 cherry we were left with 6 bags of thick sawdust perfect for are chicks.
I got the top glued up, flattened, and cut to shape. Then assembled and filled the knot holes with black epoxy. I will need another coat added since one knot was a little to deep to do all at once
While the final layer of epoxy was curing we got the bases carcass cut and glued up. The epoxy was cured so got it rested in the rough position for an idea of the size. Sense this is for a man in a wheelchair were making it a little taller then usual and giving plenty of space for him to get in and out.
Next steps
I got the face frames all cut and ready to be attached, once there on I will router out a space for the bottom to go in, then just have to build the shelfs, drawers and some added support along the center gap. The top will be ready for a custom inlay the client has requested and then sand and finish.
